Jillian Curwin

Jillian Curwin is a host, writer, and lifelong advocate based in New York City.

Born a little person/person with dwarfism, Jillian has always lived in a world that was not necessarily designed for her. The daughter of two former prosecutors, she learned from the best how to advocate for herself at a very young age, how to adapt in any space where she would often find herself being the first, if not only, little person to enter.

In 2020, after seeing Sinéad Burke on the cover of British Vogue, Jillian launched Always Looking Up as a place for her to share her experiences as a fashion girlie that the industry refuses to design for. One year later she launched Always Looking Up, the podcast, where she has conversations with forces for change in the disability community about living in a world that was not necessarily designed for us and, perhaps more importantly, how they are changing it for the better. Since then, she has gone on to write for various media outlets as well as consult with brands in the fashion and fitness industries on the ways in which they can be more accessible and inclusive.
